Support and assist the District's Information Technology Manager in providing end user support services.
- Provide problem management, troubleshooting, and escalations to resolve customer problems with wireless devices and Teleconferencing equipment.
- Provide administrative duties to include procurement, buyer for District IT and Administration Section through eVA to include electronic filing, order receiving, scheduling and inventory.
- Provide administrative support to the District IT Section to include billing and ordering review/submittal and annual audit of all wireless devices.
- Provide end user support, procurement, activation, end user technical support, training and detailed record keeping, to comply with VDOT mobile communications use memorandum.
- Assist with creating training documentation for end user support and assistance for wireless devices.
- Will be responsible for monthly audits and payments of VITA telecommunication bills.
- Work with VITA, Wireless and landline providers, and internal IT staff ensuring problems are resolved in a timely manner.

- **Minimum Qualifications**

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with diverse audiences.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working and interpersonal relationships with all divisions and customer. Skill in the use of personal computers and Microsoft Desktop products (Windows, SharePoint, Outlook, Exchange, and MS Office Suite. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Skill in training users on equipment and use of systems.

Ability to prioritize, organize multiple demands in a continuously changing environment and meet established deadlines. Ability to gather, analyze data and prepare reports. Skill in the use of troubleshooting tools, managing and administering wireless devices.
- Capability to work with minimum supervision and act as lead when the need arises.

**Additional Considerations**

Agency knowledge or processes and policies.
- Familiar with procurement, with a strong understanding of the agency procurement process. Experience with Microsoft office, wireless devices (including MIFIs and iPads), landlines (Analog and VOIP) and teleconferencing equipment. A combination of training, experience, or education in Telecommunications, Information Systems or related field desired.
- Experience working with primary wireless providers to include Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile

**Special Instructions**

VDOT is an emergency response agency, and this position may be required to assist during emergency operations, requiring work outside of normal work hours to ensure the safety of the traveling public.

Fingerprint based background check, employment references, work history, and DMV driving record will be verified prior to employment.

VDOT utilizes a market-based pay program, which has been approved by the Department of Human Resource Management (DHRM). Therefore, advertised rates of pay may or may not align with the Commonwealth pay bands.
