Job Summary:
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Manager to oversee our production operations. The Manufacturing Manager will manage the day-to-day manufacturing activities, ensure efficient production processes, and maintain high-quality standards. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop production schedules to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Coordinate with other departments to align production goals with sales forecasts and inventory levels.
- Quality Control:
- Compliance for cannabis product manufacturing under DHS regulations
- Implement and maintain quality control standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Process Optimization:
- Continuously evaluate manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
- Implement new technologies and best practices to optimize production workflows.
- Staff Management: Hire, train, and supervise manufacturing staff (6-8 employees)
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Cannabis Act requirements.
- Enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory management processes, including raw material procurement, inventory tracking, and stock rotation.
- Work closely with the procurement team to maintain adequate inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, chemistry, business administration) preferred but not required
- Minimum of [3] years of experience in manufacturing management, preferably in the cannabis industry.
- Strong understanding of cannabis regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements and achieving operational excellence.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Pay: $48,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
