The role of the patient safety sitter is to provide continuous observation of patients determined to be at risk for safety. The Sitter reports to the nurse and is responsible for supporting a safe patient environment and notifying nursing staff of any unsafe patient behavior. The sitter is furthermore, responsible for assisting with basic patient care such as transfers and activities of daily living and keeping an accurate record of the patient’s behavior while under observation. Other duties may be assigned to support the nursing unit when not actively observing a patient.
**Requirements**:
- Current and valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Schedule: Full-Time, Days
