About the role
As Lab Technician, you will be responsible for the daily operation of the Lab facility and will report to the Lab Supervisor/Manager.
A Lab Technician’s duties will include, but aren’t limited to the following:
- Administrative Paperwork
- Basic Data Entry Skills - Computer Database
- Basic Math Skills
- Work with hazardous and non-hazardous materials
- Sample analysis using various test methods / SOP’s
- Basic maintenance/calibration/upkeep of equipment within laboratory
- Account for supply inventory
- Maintain various records
- Must be able to perform tasks in a timely manner with little supervision
- Must have good housekeeping attitude
- Must operate safely
Typical shift is Monday to Friday days with possible occasional Saturdays
**Requirements**:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior experience preferred
- Ability to use a computer
- Be able to pass a Respirator Fit Test (RFT)/Pulmonary Function Test (PFT)
- Be able to pass a Basic Plus safety class at HASC, in English
- Be able to pass a HAZWOPER training class
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to pass physical (requirements to be determined)
- Be able to climb stairs and/or ladders and pass a Functional Strength Evaluation
- Be able to stand and work on your feet for the majority of your shift (less breaks)
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
