Maintenance Janitor

**Pay: $20.00/hr**

**Location: Astoria, OR**

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
Responsible for identifying any damage and/or non-working items in and around the building, and correcting the issue to ensure the building is up to code for upcoming Section 8 and HUD inspection.

**DUTIES/RESPONSIBILTIES**:

- Perform routine safety inspections and report issues.
- Resolving general maintenance issues - appliances, flooring, cabinets, locks, etc.
- Painting - both interior and exterior, as well as scuff removal and carpet cleaning.
- Troubleshooting of electronic systems such as kill switches, outlets, and light fixture installations.
- Complete daily tasks as assigned.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must be able to lift 50lbs without assistance.
- Must be a self starter and able to work independently.
- Must have great written and verbal communication skills.

**EDUCATION**:

- Highschool diploma or GED.
- Previous Maintenance experience is preferred.
