Dishwasher/busser

**32 North is a NEW upscale restaurant located in the Valley Stream area and seeking dishwashers with a positive attitude to join our team.**

We are looking for a reliable and efficient individual to join our team as a dishwasher/busser at an upscale restaurant. In this dual role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen by washing dishes and kitchen utensils, as well as providing support to the dining area by assisting with bussing tables and maintaining a clean dining environment. This position offers the opportunity to work in a professional kitchen and dining setting.

**Responsibilities**
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment or by hand as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area, including counters, sinks, equipment, and floors.
- Ensure that clean dishes and utensils are properly organized and stocked for kitchen and dining service.
- Clear and clean tables efficiently, remove used dishes and glassware, and reset tables for the next guests.
- Assist servers with delivering food and beverages to tables, refilling water glasses, and providing additional items as requested.
- Wipe down dining tables, chairs, and high-touch surfaces, and sweep/mop floors in the dining area as needed.
- Empty trash bins in the kitchen and dining areas, replace liners, and maintain cleanliness in trash disposal areas.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, servers, and other team members to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of chemicals, equipment, and food handling procedures.
- Willingness to assist with other tasks as needed, including food preparation, stocking supplies, and supporting overall restaurant operations.

**Skills**
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry heavy trays of dishes, and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in dishwashing and bussing tasks.
- Work effectively as part of a team, taking direction from supervisors and collaborating with colleagues to meet operational needs.
- Manage time efficiently to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines during peak restaurant hours.
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and follow instructions effectively.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's operating hours.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
