**Deputy Communications Director**:
**Job Location: Philadelphia, PA**

**Reports to: Deputy Communications Director**

**Responsibilities**:

- **Assist Communications Director with strategic planning for key campaign moments and longer term goals**
- **Manage team of Press Secretaries and oversee multiple workstreams in coordination with other departments on the day-to-day execution of communications plans**
- **Provide detailed edits and approvals on communications team deliverables, including but not limited to: press releases, advisories, and opinion content**
- **Work with national and local reporters to pitch and shape stories and help oversee local TV and radio booking**
- **Oversee execution of press events and high profile principal and surrogate travel**
- **Oversee surrogate prep for interviews, including managing compilation of talking points, remarks, and other necessary preparation materials**
- **Other duties as assigned**

**Qualifications**:

- **Multiple campaign cycles working in political communications**
- **Excellent writing skills and an interest in long and short form writing**
- **Experience managing multiple direct reports**
- **Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once**
- **Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team**
- **Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment**
- **Effective communication skills and experience staffing principals in media settings**
- **Familiarity with Pennsylvania’s press corps and media landscape is a plus**

**This role is a full time, in person role located in Philadelphia, PA.
