_**General Description of Duties and Essential Functions**_

The Handyman/Groundskeeper will provide general maintenance, repair and groundskeeping for the LAPRAAC facilities. The Handyman/Grounds Keeper will also maintain ad track repairs logs and service tickets.
- **Classification**_

Non-Exempt position.
- **Essential Functions**_

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Perform renovation work including light carpentry, drywall installation, replacement of doors, door frames, locks, windows and other fixtures including toilets, sinks, showers, outlets and switches, cabinetry and light demolition.
- Perform simple electrical, plumbing and mechanical repairs.
- Utilize power tools to fix and replace facility components and equipment.
- Fix and patch holes in the wall.
- Maintain and safeguard all company tools and equipment.
- Weed abatement and brush clearance.
- Keep the facility free of loose trash.
- Minor carpentry including framing.
- Drywall and painting.
- Clearing drain and sewer lines up to 4”.
- General Knowledge of all aspects of maintenance, repair and service.
- Walking facility to identify and plan repairs.
- Provide reports to management on needed repairs, maintenance and ground maintenance.
- Painting knowledge on all sheens; high gloss, semi-gloss, flat, eggshell, etc.
- Skills and abilities to use standard and power tools as necessary to perform all work.
- Must be able to perform tile and grouting work.
- Pool Maintenance

**Requirements and Responsibilities of the Handyman/Grounds Keeper**

- Reliable transportation.
- **Education - Experience - Requirements**_
- EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required. Certificate in construction trades a plus.
- EXPERIENCE: a minimum of 5 years of relevant handyman/groundskeeping experience.
- BACKGROUND: Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening, physical, and background checks is mandatory.
- GROOMING AND APPEARANCE: LAPRAAC maintains a neat and professional image at all times.
- Must maintain a valid Driver’s License.

**Salary to be determined based on qualifying experience.**

Schedule: On-site, Monday to Friday and with some weekend availability.

Pay: $20 - $25 hourly

Expected hours: 40 per week
