**GROCERY CLERK 4 - STOCKER**

**REGULAR FULL TIME - $18.50 - 21.50/HR**

**SHIFTS: Complete Open Availability - WEEKENDS REQUIRED**

**Position Overview**:As a Grocery Clerk 4 you will provide outstanding customer service and while performing all tasks related to breaking down deliveries, moving back stock to the floor and stocking shelves. You may also be required to assist in organizing and developing promotional displays and maintaining the backroom.

**Essential Functions**:

- Provide excellent and quality service to customers
- Must complete tasks in a timely manner so as to meet deadlines
- Control spoilage and minimize out-of-stock items
- Merchandise product on shelves and end caps
- Ensure highest level of execution of day-to-day duties:

- Facing shelves
- Inventory the sales floor and pull quantities of
- Out of stocks
- Ad items
- TPR, EDLP, In-store items
- Seasonal items
- Other low stock items
- Break down and process the delivery load
- Proper rotation of perishable items
- Display/Endcap merchandising and maintenance
- Perform all other duties assigned

- Basic knowledge of proper rotation of perishable and non-perishable grocery merchandise

- Safe handling and operation of equipment including; box cutter, industrial box baler, ladder, stepstool, 6 wheeler, hand truck, manual pallet track
- Basic knowledge of conventional, organic and perishable product
- Detail oriented with excellent organization skills
- Demonstrated decision-making capability
- Self-motivated, self-directed and able to multi task

- Able to work well with others and as part of a team

**Position Requirements**:

- Minimum of 18 years of age

**Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent

**Experience**:

- Minimum of one year experience in the grocery or retail industry

**Physical Requirements**:
The physical requirements described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Some requirements may be modified to accommodate individuals with disabilities:

- While performing the duty of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, squat, reach and kneel
- The employee must frequently talk or hear and reach with both hands and arms above and below the shoulder
- The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or crawl
- The employee must be able to bend and twist at waist and neck.
- The employee must be able to use their fingers to operate a keyboard or mouse in order to complete administration duties
- The employee must occasionally lift and carry up to or over 50 pounds items and regularly lift up to and carry 25 pounds items
- The employee must be able to tolerate repetitive reaching, handling, grasping, pushing, pulling gripping and manipulation of hands and fingers in order to face, stock and build displays
- The employee must be able to tolerate intermittent noise from customers, back of house machinery and overhead speakers.
- The employee must be able to work around heavy equipment and machinery such as but not limited to: a forklift, bailers, pallet jack, electric lift and large trucks
- The employee occasionally will be required to operate a heavy machinery such as a forklift
- The employee must be able to tolerate moderate amounts of dust, chemical fumes from common household cleaning agents and diesel fumes
- The employee must be able to occasionally tolerate extremes in temperature during the early morning, while in the freezer, the dairy box and at the receiving dock
- The employee must wear protective gloves when working in the freezer
- The employee must wear non-slip shoes at all times
