**Job Summary and Qualifications**:

- ** Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures.**:

- ** Performs all sonographic procedures following defined protocols.**:

- ** Transfers and positions the patient in a safe manner.**:

- ** Observant of patients**=** conditions. Notifies physician or supervisor of unusual occurrences.**:

- ** Compiles appropriate records to expedite results.**:

- ** Analyzes the quality of images and processes as required.**:

- ** Understands and operates electronic information systems.**:

- ** Maintains appropriate supplies and a clean, organized working environment.**:

- ** Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of sonography.**:

- ** Initiates patient teaching including family and/or significant other.**:

- ** Involvement in Quality Control/Quality Improvement.**

**What qualifications you will need**:
**EXPERIENCE**:
**Required** - One year experience in a hospital Ultrasound Department.

**Preferred** -One year experience as a Radiologic Technologist; additional year experience as Mammographer, in addition to required experience.

**EDUCATION**:
**Required** - Graduate of an accredited school of sonography. RDMS certified. CPR eligible.

**Preferred** - In addition to required education, certification in CPR, ARRT, and Mammography.
