Exercise Physiologist

Job Overview:
At New You Health and Wellness we are dedicated to providing our patients with exceptional care. In addition to our functional medicine and pain relief programs we have added a weight loss and fitness program featuring V02 max measurements, body composition, exercise instruction, hormone assessment and food sensitivity assessment. We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Exercise Physiologist to join our team to enhance this program. As an Exercise Physiologist, you will work closely with patients to assess their physical condition, develop personalized exercise programs, measure parameters such as RMR and AMR as well as VO2 Max, and provide guidance on improving overall health and wellness. **Duties**:

- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate physical condition, medical history, and fitness goals
- Develop individualized exercise programs based on patient needs and goals
- Perform VO2 max testing
- Monitor patients during exercise sessions to ensure safety and proper form
- Provide guidance and support to patients on proper exercise techniques
- Educate patients on the benefits of regular physical activity and healthy lifestyle choices
- Track patient progress and make adjustments as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

**Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or related field
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and anatomy
- Experience in conducting patient assessments and developing exercise programs
- Familiarity with medical terminology and vital signs monitoring
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively educate and motivate patients
- Previous experience in health coaching is a plus

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $29.50 - $32.82 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
