Deputy Clerk

The Will County Circuit Clerk's office is responsible for maintaining a record of all traffic, civil, and criminal cases filed and heard in Will County. On a daily basis, the office interacts with the public and attorneys performing several functions including the collection and disbursement of traffic fines, civil fees and child support. The office is also responsible for recording filed documents and maintaining a record of all court proceedings. The Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court is open to the public from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Monday through Friday, except on Court Holidays.

**Schedule**: Monday - Friday, 8:30-4:30, 1 hour paid lunch & 2 paid 15-minute breaks

**Hourly Rate: Starts at $18.56/hr**

*Wages are set by the collective bargaining agreement (Union Contract) and are non-negotiable.

**Responsibilities**
- Documenting court minutes from the judge in open court
- Preparing and distributing all required forms
- Posting continued court dates
- Completing and posting court dispositions
- Preparing status reports when required
- Other duties as assigned

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Must be a Will County resident
- If assigned to satellite court, reliable transportation
- Basic computer skills and able to type at least 35 words/minute
- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships
- Good work/attendance record
- High school diploma
