**Summer Employment Opportunity**

**Kindergarten Bootcamp Nurse**

**Location: Davis Elementary School**
**Position Duration: June 24, 2024 to July 18, 2024**
**Mondays through Thursdays 8:45 AM - 12:30 PM**
**Pay Rate: $3,240 Stipend (one payment)**

**Position Summary**: Provide comprehensive health services to all students in assigned building. The District will offer three programs this year.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Participate in development and implementation of district policies, practices and standards of health service
- Utilize a working knowledge of legalities, policies, procedures and regulations
- Act as case manager in assessing and integrating with the educational program the health needs of children with special needs
- Dispense and monitor medications administered during the school day
- Provide appropriate, necessary health care to allow students the least restrictive learning environment possible
- Provide emergency first aid to students and staff; process worker’s compensastion reports as necessary
- Facilitate operation of health room including maintaining health records.
- Monitor and initiate appropriate action with communicable diseases and nuisance problems
- Counsel students, parents and staff to promote wellness
- Serve as resource person for contact with community agencies
- Conduct classroom presentations as needed; act as resource for students and staff in health education
- Other duties as may be assigned

**Required Qualifications and Experience**
- Registered Nurse License

**Physical Demands**:

- Ability to work in a health room environment for extended periods of time including, but not limited to, sitting, standing, bending and reaching
- Ability to lift and support 30 pounds
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate verbally
