**Who we are?**

Hoerr Construction, Inc. was founded in 1994. We are an underground utility contractor. As a union contractor, the key services we offer include directional drilling, sewer inspection and cleaning, CIPP pipe lining, and water/sanitary sewer construction.

**Key Job Duties for this position include**:

- Assist with the installation of Cured-In-Place-Pipe (CIPP)
- Perform general manual labor tasks related to the maintenance and operation of sanitary and storm sewers and water mains
- Confined space entry in sanitary sewer manholes
- Assist with setup and break down of equipment as needed
- Assist with traffic control as needed
- Safely operate company vehicles
- Perform other general duties as assigned
- 50-55 hours per week is typical

**Job Requirements**:

- Valid driver’s license. Class A CDL license with air brakes and tanker endorsement preferred. We can assist with CDL licensing as needed.
- 1-2 years’ experience working in outdoor construction is preferred.
- Willing to travel within our territory (Illinois)
- Willing to show a commitment to company safety practices
- Willing to become a union member and get a union card (we will assist with this process)
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and have an acceptable MVR
- Attention to detail
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Able to regularly lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift 50 - 100 pounds
- Able and willing to work outdoors in various positions such as kneeling, standing, crouching
- Able to effectively use basic tools such as shovel, ladder, and other misc. hand tools
- Able to be productive and work independently with mínimal supervision
