**Summary**:
We are seeking one Quality Inspectors to partner with manufacturing operations to provide outstanding customer service and quality inspections to ensure Flowserve and customer standards are being met. Inspectors must be prepared to escalate concerns to the appropriate party and always promote a culture of quality.

**This is a 1st shift role (6:30 am - 3:00 pm M-F)**

**Responsibilities**:

- Inspection of production components in various stages of completion utilizing precision mechanical inspection techniques and tools
- Guide production teams to properly disposition parts as good for use, needs repair, or scrap
- Document & communicate any identified defects
- Escalate concerns that are not being properly resolved in your immediate work area
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with team members within the Quality and partnering teams
- Visually detect and document defects in a fast-paced environment
- Identify and differentiate between several defect types.
- Determine severity of a defect and the required response
- Perform detailed daily record keeping and reporting of quality issues that will be referenced by technicians, engineers and management
- Other duties as directed

**Requirements**:

- HS Diploma or GED
- 3+ years in machining, quality control or related field
- Competency using various measurement and inspection tools. (Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, Bore Gages, Dial Indicators, Scales, etc)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, to include geometric dimensioning and tolerances
- Ability to read and interpret bills of materials, parts lists and material specifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds using proper lifting equipment and perform duties while standing for extended periods of time

**Preferred skills**:

- Knowledge of welding, NDE and quality systems
- Experience with calibration of inspection tools
- Experience with castings
- Knowledge of ISO standards
- Ability to drive a fork-lift and operate overhead crane
