**Vital Lab** is a premier laboratory and diagnostic provider extending its services to a broad spectrum of clients from home health, assisted living communities, and employers. Vital Lab has immediate opportunities for mobile phlebotomists on a contractual basis. Due to our continued growth, we are seeking to fill contract positions in the following settings:

- Assisted Living
- Residential/Home
- Patient Service Center
- On-Call/PRN

**Responsibilities**:

- Must be able to work under mínimal supervision and accurately maintain all records.
- Must have availability to complete early morning routes.
- Must be willing to travel more than 50% of the time.
- Must have strong venipuncture skills using both straight and butterfly needle devices.
- Must possess knowledge of medical terminology as it relates to the medical laboratory.
- Must adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and understand PHI; patient rights and patient’s rights to refuse.
- Knowledge of required specimen preservation, adequate patient preparation and specimen collection procedures; to include the proper order of draw.
- Accurately identify all patients prior to collection using standard protocol of two identifiers; first name, last name, date of birth.
- Ensuring all specimens are properly labeled using the standard protocol of two identifiers, and accompanied by a completed requisition that follows Vital Lab’s documentation protocol.
- Maintains all equipment in good working order and inventory of issued supplies.
- Reports all problems immediately to supervisor.
- Conducts oneself in a professional manner with a positive attitude at all times, effectively communication with facility staff, medical providers, patients, and patient caregivers.

**Qualifications**:

- Phlebotomist (CPT/PBT), Medical Assistant (RMA/CCMA), LPN, EMT.
- Minimum of two years of phlebotomy experience required.
- BLS/ACLS certified required, if not certification will be provided.
- Clean criminal history, as required for positions with direct patient care.
- Must have a valid drivers license and verifiable auto-insurance.
- Must have reliable vehicle in good working condition.
- Must have access to smart phone and or tablet with wi-fi capabilities.

**Job Types**: Contract, PRN

Pay: $500.00 - $600.00 per week
