**Clinical Analyst**

**Overview**:
An opening exists for a full-time Clinical Assistant Analyst located at Medical University of the Americas (MUA) administrative offices in North Central Massachusetts (Devens, MA). This is a Devens-based position with some flexibility for hybrid work.

**Qualifications**:
Successful applicants must possess proven ability to effectively work with a culturally and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and student body. They are expected to have excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong Information Technology literacy skills such as Microsoft Office Suite. Incumbents are required to have demonstrated advanced knowledge and abilities in the following
- Proficient in database programming using PHP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft Access and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated experience in generating complex data reports and presenting findings to a range of audiences.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with the Graduate Medical Education industry and its regulatory environment is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with both technical and non-technical team members.

- Ability to write a grammatical letter in the context of clinical rotation notification
- Ability to multitask and work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to use a student information database.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

**Education**:
Bachelor’s /Associates degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.

**Experience**: Prefer an individual with Information Technology experience (2+ years) in a higher education setting or similar experience.

The Clinical Assistant Analyst will report to and be supervised by the Clinical Operations of Clinical Medicine.
- Develop and maintain databases using PHP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Access to ensure data integrity, security, and availability.
- Assist in the design and implementation of data collection systems and other strategies that optimize data quality and efficiency.
- Generate and compile detailed reports based on clinical rotation data to support Management and administrative staff.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, perform forecasts, and provide actionable insights to improve clinical outcomes.
- Collaborate with IT and clinical teams to enhance system functionalities and resolve any issues related to data management and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with FERPA governance and security policies.
- Communicate rotation decisions to students - will have primary responsibility for fielding questions from students regarding rotations and gathering necessary information and documents to support placement in clinical rotations
- Evaluate student status to determine if they are complete and ready to transition from the Basic Sciences into Clinical Medicine
- Monitor missing documents and notify students about missing materials need to keep their status in good standing.
- Contact clinical students for clinical rotations, process updates, revision, and perform general data entry on all systems to ensure Clinical rotation start dates
- Record rotation grade completion and outcomes in the Student Database
- Assist in maintaining the clinical student database and publish relevant elective demographics of student participation, completion and outcomes of clinical rotations
- Collaborate with the office of the Registrar to process requirements for MUA graduation.
- Provide backup to the other MUA clinical support staff when they are out of the office - will require cross training in other clinical, graduation and alumni support roles
