Setup Loan Processor

**SETUP LOAN PROCESSOR**

At Priority, the Setup Loan Processor is responsible for assisting loan officers with setting up their files in the LOS, organizing and reviewing 1st pass documentation, preparing a file for disclosures or preapproval, and assisting our Sales Manager with the flow of Loan Officer inquiries on products and procedures. This includes obtaining, organizing, and analyzing documentation received such as income, assets, credit, and contract documentation. Our teams work directly with borrowers and other departments to obtain documentation so our Loan Officers can focus on generating new business. Other duties include but are not limited to: accurate data entry into Byte Pro and our proprietary intranet; ability to keep an organized paperless loan file; clear and constant communication with all parties; and the ability to put together a file in the early stages of a loan and assist loan officers with initial file structure. Excellent customer services skills are required and experience as an LOA is helpful. At Priority, our Loan Officers are our clients too We are looking for someone to be a liaison between Sales and Processing to deliver high quality files to our Processing team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Set up Conventional, Agency, FHA/VA, Non-QM and other loan programs such as USDA, Home Equity Lines of Credit, 2nd Mortgages, Home Improvement loans, Down Payment Assistance and Bond Programs as well as Reverse Mortgages.
- Accurately calculate preliminary income for all types of borrowers.
- Request, review and organize initial loan files with documents such as income, assets, credit, and contract documentation to ensure complete and accurate information is in the file before it is sent to the Senior Processor.
- Obtain verifications (VOE, VOA, Credit Supplements)
- Prioritize and monitor daily workflow in order to ensure all loans are being worked on in accordance with company's timeline expectations.
- Maintain constant communication with all applicable parties on status updates and/or changes to the loan.
- Work additional hours as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

- FHA/ VA experience strongly preferred.
- Current knowledge of federal and state guidelines, rules, and regulations such as RESPA, TILA, HMDA, etc.
- Resourceful with exceptional search engine skills
- Strong customer service skills with a “can-do” attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Prior experience with FNMA/FHLM; Non-QM; FHA/VA programs beneficial.
- Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe, Desktop Underwriter and Loan Prospector.
- Current familiarity with Byte Pro is a plus.
- Advanced ability to analyze complex tax returns to accurately calculate income for all types of borrowers.
- Resourceful with an ability to work independently to seek information using available internal and external resources (Internal Resource Center, Agency guidelines, search engines, verification websites, etc.)
- The ability to think outside the box and contribute to loan restructuring conversations is highly preferred.
- Demonstrate high volume productivity.
- Must be detail oriented, organized, and work efficiently under pressure.
- Must be a TEAM player and work well with Sales Staff providing utmost levels of customer service and an open line of communication.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in solving problems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Minimum of 5(+) years of experience.

**Salary**: Depending on experience (DOE)
