Horticulturist Assistant

Longwood Gardens is seeking a seasonal Horticulturist Assistant to support our Conservation Horticulture and Collections team. This individual will be responsible for performing tasks critical to the daily operations of the Research Nursery and Greenhouses. These responsibilities include weeding, mowing, mulching, pruning, watering, potting, planting, and general care of the diverse research, breeding, and plant exploration collections in these spaces.
- Proficiency with basic plant identification and horticultural skills.
- Experience working in a nursery or public garden is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license and be willing to operate an electric cart, and work with staff at various levels including interns and students.
