**Job Description**:
**Exciting Employment Opportunity at MSK**: We are seeking a **Medical Laboratory Assistant** to join our **David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care** lab team

**Role Overview**:

- Review requisitions and order entry orders to verify the accuracy of corresponding specimens, and enter required data into the computer
- Prepare specimens for testing or send out to another laboratory for testing using the laboratory computer system
- Maintain a complete, accurate, and organized file system, filing addition/correction sheets, requisitions, and reference laboratories’ results according to laboratory guidelines
- Maintain an organized and secure supply area and reagent storage area to ensure easy access to reagents, chemicals, and supplies
- Contribute to the upkeep and safety of the laboratory and assure a clean, safe, adequately supplied work area

**Key Requirements**:

- High school diploma/GED + 1-2 years of confirmed experience
- Strong digital literacy in Word and Excel

**Core Skills**:

- Excellent information leadership skills to communicate, explain, interpret, share, and present information to laboratory and hospital staff
- An effective communicator, capable of resolving how best to reach different audiences
- Flexible in your approach and demeanor in order to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances
- Adept at crafting partnerships and working collaboratively to meet shared objectives and goals
- Very comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

**Additional Information**:
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4 pm. Every 4th weekend including holidays 8 am - 4 pm
- 100% onsite
- Location: David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care - 530 E 74th Street in NYC
- Reporting to: Manager, Laboratory Medicine

**Pay Range**:$22.52-$31.13
