We are looking for a talented Operations Manager to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Components Business Segment in Oshkosh, WI.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

- Provides manufacturing leadership for small or medium size plant, shift or department. Manages multiple shifts of an assembly line, fabrication or machining operation
- Provides manufacturing leadership and improvement focus in operations driving results, creating and monitoring measures, providing motivation, and setting expectations in safety, quality, delivery and cost
- Communicates with customers, suppliers, shop floor, stakeholders, and staff
- Leads annual operating plan, forecasts, and other measurements for manufacturing operations
- Manages, coaches, and develops staff; works with employees to set goals in training and development, performance, and career planning.

**Education, Licenses, Certifications**
- College, university, or equivalent degree required.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

**Experience**
- Significant level of relevant work experience, including managerial, leadership, and budgetary experience, required.
- Operational Excellence Leader

- PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) & PIE (Process Improvement Event)
- Housekeeping
- Process Improvement
- Manage Supervisors on the Shop Floor. Support 1stand 2ndShift activities.
- Manage Labor & Burden spending
- Focus on Productivity
- Lead daily Production Meetings discussing Safety, Quality, Production, and any other issues affecting the plant.
- Manage the overtime for both the Shop Floor and Supervision.
- Work with Scheduling to make sure axle builds are prioritized to meet customer needs.
- Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality to assure we are building efficiently and correctly.
- Represent the Operations function when requested on customer calls, supplier calls, or inter-company calls.
- Sit in on bi-monthly meetings with the Union committee.
- Represent Operations at weekly Staff Meeting.
- Develop good knowledge of axles and gearboxes.
- Work with other departments and assist wherever needed.
