**Calibration Laboratory Technician Job Description**

**Job Purpose**:
Work from calibration procedures, technical manuals, schematics, specifications, drawings, written and verbal instructions to setup and complete calibrations in a timely manner.

**Essential Job Functions**:

- Use calibration standards to calibrate, adjust, certify, maintain, and repair M&TE/process equipment using approved calibration procedures, process specifications, equipment drawings, and M&TE /process equipment manufacturer's performance specifications. To include but not limited to chilled mirrors, hygrometers, humidity sensors, temperature measurement devices, resistance measurement devices, and pressure measurement devices.
- Plan, check, set up, and operate, basic Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) and/or process equipment.
- Conduct routine tests, analyze data and document results.
- Troubleshoot and recommend resolution of basic laboratory and test-related problems.
- Route M&TE/process equipment between receiving area, customer, and calibration lab.
- Update equipment status using established systems and complete associated paperwork.
- Ensure equipment is ready for calibration per metrology processes.
- Perform visual check of M&TE/process equipment for discrepancies and wear.
- Provide information and clarification to customers on metrology processes.
- Possess a working knowledge on the safe and correct use of various hand-tools and measuring/test equipment to accomplish desired results.
- Ability to create, modify and manage excel spreadsheets, CRM database, and word documents.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- ASQ Certification or PMEL/TMDE background preferred. Minimum work experience of 1 year.
- High level of proficiency and attention to detail to ensure all documentation, device records, inspection files and databases are complete and accurate.
- Maintain workload to achieve production schedules and ensure completion within timeframe.
- Capacity to solder electronic components, circuit boards, cables, etc. is preferred.
- Ability to retain and act on verbal directions.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with critical thinking capabilities.
- Multi-tasking and attention to detail.
- Be able to lift 50 pounds, sit/stand/walk for extended periods on a regular basis.
- As this position is technical in nature, the applicant should possess a strong mechanical aptitude with strong communication skills and have a team-centered focus, possessing a friendly, proactive personal style.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
