Scale Operator/weighmaster

**American Asphalt Paving and Wilkes-Barre Materials, LLC, a local paving and site construction company and materials producer located in Shavertown and Plains Township are seeking a SCALE OPERATOR / WEIGHMASTER for their plant facilities.**
- **Job Description Summary**:_
- The primary responsibility of the scale operator is to operate the weigh scales, and to prepare and maintain the shipping and billing related records.
- The Scale Operator will enter customer orders into the Libra computer system, load trucks with asphalt from the silos, weigh the trucks, print customer order tickets, and process daily paperwork, credit card and cash transactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- **Skills and Experience**:_
- Must have very strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to simultaneously answer phones, service walk-in customers, and operate scale equipment.
- Must have basic computer skills, solid math and reading skills with the ability to understand technical manuals.
- The ability to work in a team environment with production and sales personnel, as well as the ability to work independently without close supervision.
- Must be willing and available to work overtime when necessary, including weekend work during the April through November peak season, and occasional night work.
- Ability to lift 60 pounds of aggregates.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Prefer Associates Degree or higher depending on experience.
- Weighmasters license required, or must be obtained within 30 days of employment, at the employer's expense.
