**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Prepare detailed project estimates using estimating software and on-screen takeoff on projects ranging in size from $50,000 to $5,000,000 inclusive of all material, labor, equipment and subcontractors.
- Identify qualified subcontractors and vendors by specifying scope and materials; obtain quotes.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and walk-throughs at customer sites.
- Maintain good business relationships with owners, general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, vendors, and company colleagues.
- Turnover estimates to project management team and consult with them as needed.
- Assist in maintaining and analyzing historical bid data.
- Make recommendations to drive alternative project scope solutions.
- Related duties as requested.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma with a two-year or four-year college degree
- Two to five years' experience with computerized construction estimating but will consider a recent college graduate with an engineering or construction-related degree
- Computer proficiency and MS Office experience, including Outlook, Excel and Word
- Good reasoning ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, schedule or diagram form
- Must be able to read and understand project specs and drawings
- Organization skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Math proficiency, high degree of accuracy and fine attention to detail
- Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing as well as interact professionally with clients and co-workers
- Must possess a team player attitude
