About The Function:

Description:

- Providing leadership, direction and management of the accounting and human resources team. Reviewing all formal finance, HR and IT related procedures.
- Providing assistance to CEO/president and members of the executive management team for strategic planning and preparing operating budgets.
- Implement standard costing of products including material costs, engineering costs, production costs and installation costs.
- Maintain inventory accuracy for raw material, work in process, and finished goods.
- Maintains fixed asset records of the company, prepares capital expenditure requests and justifications.
- Responsible for compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll, sales tax and other applicable tax laws
- Ensures the accurate completion of all required reports and analyses e.g. month-end and year-end closings, financial forecasts, financial analysis, annual audit, financial KPIs (inventory turns, cash conversion cycle, AP/AR ratios, etc).
- Collaborate with other departments drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying root cause of issues and developing strategies and tactics to improve.

Requirements & Characteristics:

- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance or Economics MBA considered a plus.
- Minimum 10 to 15 years’ experience with financial management in an high mix/low volume manufacturing environment with track record of continuous upward progression throughout their career; with 7 of those years in a leadership role.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and creating financial reports & dashboards using the ERP is considered a plus.
- The ability to recruit, motivate, retain and have a history of growing talent is required.
- Association membership or certification in accounting or finance is a plus.
- Experienced change agent

- Savvy business mind that is strategic, conceptual and operational oriented
- Lead effectively by clearly communicating expectations while following through on deliverables.
- Ability to build trust at all levels and a willingness to be “hands-on”.
