**_Role and Responsibilities:_**

The essential roles and responsibilities are outlined below:

- Involved in all estimating functions: from pre-bid to bid preparation and submission.
- Ability to read, understand and perform a thorough review of the construction plans, specification analysis, and review addendums.
- Ability to identify scope of work, accurately perform/calculate detailed quantity take-offs to create an item list of site, civil, and underground utility work tasks. Ability to develop and organize cost estimates.
- Assist with contacting material vendors and subcontractors to review proposals to ensure accuracy, compare responses, scope compliance, enter subcontractors/supplier pricing into estimating program and purchasing processes.
- Ensure estimates are complete, well organized, provide all backup documentation for review by management, and make recommendations with regard to the overall project estimate.
- Attend pre-bid site meetings during bidding process to learn scope of work and understand site conditions/restrictions.
- Visit active project sites, attend job meetings, assist in collecting daily field data from project managers and enter the data.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintain a highly organized work area with above average organizational skills, meet critical deadlines, prioritize daily activities, multitask, attention to detail, and work well under pressure.
- Confer with engineers, architects, owners, and municipal/state agencies.
- Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company from time to time to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
- Ability to shoot grades.

**_Qualification and Education Requirements:_**
- 5 Years construction experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office related products, specifically Excel, excellent computer skills and strong technology skills.
- Civil Engineer degree or construction related two or four year degree, preferred, but not required.
- Relevant public, commercial or field construction experience, preferred, but not required.
- Experience with estimating, takeoff, or CAD design programs, preferred, but not required.
- Ability to pass drug screen
- Must possess a valid unrestricted Driver's License.

**_ Necessary Attributes:_**
- Must possess the ability to adapt to different personalities, management styles and team compositions.
- Dedicated, self-starter, strong work ethic and ability to work hands on and independently, as well as part of the estimating/project management team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, calculate mathematical extensions, and the capacity to interpret data and make recommendations.
- Effective and excellent written and verbal business communication skills.

**Job Type**: Full time

$30.00 per Hour.
