- **Position Objective**:
We are an innovative Non-Surgical Orthopedic and Regenerative medicine organization servicing the local Tucson, Arizona, surrounding Southwest region, and patients nationwide.

The Physician Extender/Athletic Trainer is responsible for providing exceptional care to patients, working closely with, and under the guidance of the physician. This team member is a driven individual who is organized, caring, and interested in a long-term partnership with exceptional growth potential.

**Direct Responsibilities**:

- Foster a positive environment of learning and accountability among clinical staff.
- Promote open communication among staff members to achieve 11/10 experience for every patient
- Driven to treat, assess and interact with patients on a daily basis for a variety of clinical pathologies
- Assist physicians in the exam room during clinical visits and procedures.
- Communicate all patient information accurately to physician.
- Completes patient assessments, recommending and implementing treatment plans while providing exceptional patient care and therapeutic intervention based on clinical assessments, data, etc.
- Provides thorough patient follow-up through detailed evaluations and assessments
- Instruct patients in use of pain medication, braces, wraps, or supplements as directed by the physician.
- Relies on experience and judgment to ensure compliance to medical devices and modality treatment
- Develops strong relationships with patients by understanding needs; successfully impacts patient loyalty
- Withholds confidence in education of treatment modalities and treatment expectations to patients.
- Thorough understanding of compliance of rehab protocols and successful patient outcomes
- Advise patients of health and lifestyle benefits to aid in their treatment such as at-home exercises, exercise, sleep health, nutrition, etc.
- Ensure information in patient charts/EMR are accurate and complete
- Maintains treatment, patient records, charts into the EMR
- Operate centrifuge and all medical equipment as trained.
- Prepare sterile trays and injections.
- Perform phlebotomies under supervision of physician.
- Stock medical supplies in rooms and storage areas.
- Dress wounds appropriately.
- Administer patient registration for therapy or follow-up appointments.
- Monitor physician clinical inbox as directed.
- Develop and enforce company infection prevention protocols - sterile preparation, in-room cleaning, while assisting providers for procedures
- Properly dispose of medical waste.
- Clean and sanitize rooms. Change linens.
- Perform patient follow up calls.
- Performs other duties as assigned

**Competencies & Qualifications**
- Certified Athletic Trainer licensed to practice in the state of Arizona
- Excellent patient service skills and the ability to demonstrate empathy with patients
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Exceptional communication
- Impeccable organizational skills
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR)

Experience in the following areas would be an asset:

- Corrective exercise and rehabilitation prescription
- Biomechanical assessment and orthotics fitting
- Orthopedic/DME bracing/fitting
- Use of modalities including extracorporeal shockwave treatment (ESWT) and laser therapy.
- Experience in retail and sales

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
