Job Overview:

**Responsibilities**:
- Prevention, recognition, treatment and rehabilitation of sports related injuries
- First aid provider of emergency situations, i.e. cardiac arrest, heat illness, spine trauma, fractures, dislocations, etc. Evaluations and assessments of orthopedic injuries, including concussion protocol with Return to Play progressions
- Responsible for proper hydration stations for both home and visiting teams with available supplies
- Collaborate and assist with the site Emergency Action Plan
- Maintain documentation related to injuries, treatments, and progress notes
- Prepare student-athlete injury reports for coaches
- Function as a liaison between physicians, coaches, parents, student-athletes, and administration; including referrals to designated health care professionals
- Responsible for final decision of student-athlete Return to Play status
- Collaborate with school district on pre-participation physical forms
- Collaborate on injury assessment, progressions, and Return to Play with the Sports Medicine team including, but not limited to physicians, physical therapists, strength and conditioning staff, and athletics staff.
- Advise on the needs of baseline concussion testing and implementation
- Make recommendations regarding conditions in accordance with NATA Position Statements & state practice acts (i.e. heat, lightning, concussions, sudden cardiac arrest, physician standing orders, etc.)
- Maintain a professional, organized, and sanitary athletic training facility
- Assisting with coverage of PEAC Performance events
Pay: $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
