- **Qualifications**:_
- **Must meet all California state requirements for the position**:

- **12 core semester units early childhood education / development**:

- **3 semester units in administration of Staff Relations**:

- **At least 4 years of experience leading a classroom in preschool or child care center**:

- **A degree in child development, 3 units Administration and 2 years teaching experience**:

- **BA degree in child development,3 units Administration and 1 year teaching experience**:

- **Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or Program Director Permit**- Current First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Must pass fingerprinting,TB testing,Immunization
- Mandated and pesticide training.
- No criminal record or child-related offenses.
- Love for children and passion for teaching.
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills with children, parents and Co-workers.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly

- Strong communication skills with preschool staff and families.
- Manage day to day classroom activities, including structural lessons, free play, bathroom breaks, lunchtime, and rest time for students.
- Observe and monitor students' progress in the preschool program through assessment.
- Create a warm and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence.
- Foster positive relationships with parents, communicating regularly about their child's progress and development.
- Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment, ensuring that all materials and equipment are in good condition and accessible to children. Employ a variety of educational techniques (Storytelling, educational play, media, etc.) to teach children.
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem.
- Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments.
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)
- Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times.
- Other duties as assigned/needed for the preschool program.
