The Department of Psychology seeks a Project Manager - Facilities who will oversee the facility renovations, space planning, and the maintenance of the department’s facilities. The Project Manager - Facilities will work with the Department of Psychology’s Director of Facilities and Research Advancement and the Department Chair to develop programs, practices, procedures, projects and budget for assigned facilities that ensure effective, efficient and safe methods of operation. The Project Manager - Facilities will serve as a liaison for the Department of Psychology with The College and other Schools/Departments, including Environment Health and Safety (EH&S) and Facilities Management.

**Essential Duties**
- Manages space allocations and moves to accommodate changing departmental needs.
- Addresses long range space planning needs for the department.
- Plans for new hire research lab needs including schematic design and scope creation.
- Provides oversight of construction/facilities renovations, space moves and space reconfigurations.
- Provides oversight and coordinates facilities repairs with Facilities Management (FACMAN).
- Maintains log of items requiring regular building maintenance and coordinates maintenance.
- Reviews utility shutdown requests and coordinate conflicting issues with FACMAN.
- Oversees facility renovations within the department to ensure project meets the objectives.
- Addresses ergonomic workspace change requests.
- Manages the department space inventory survey.
- Submits surplus property pickup requests.
- Manages facilities budget and submits orders through Workday.
- Provides cost estimates for effort, materials, and equipment for renovation designs.
- Develops budget for equipment and programs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications**

Bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience; 1 of which are in project management, or any equivalent combination of experience and /or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

- or project-management experience in a scientific research lab or academic setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of building construction, materials, and methods.
- Demonstrated knowledge of estimating, budgeting, and scheduling practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge of building codes and standards of practice.
- Experience working independently and within a team structure.
- Demonstrated knowledge of research lab equipment.
- Experience with AutoCAD for conceptual and schematic design of research and teaching spaces.

**Working Environment**
- Access various campus sites which involves walking, climbing stairs or ladders, standing and walking uneven surfaces for long periods of time in extreme temperatures.
- Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
- Regular use of standard office equipment including, but not limited to: computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology peripherals; This position receives regular review of objectives by department administrator.
