The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the facility. This position is also responsible for creating a clean and orderly environment for our clients, visitors and staff and adhere to OSHA rules and regulations regarding health and safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Responsible for cleaning and maintaining client rooms to include stripping and making beds.
- Ensure that cleaning closets are properly stocked with supplies and equipment and properly secured and locked when not in use.
- Responsible for removing trash, mop, vacuum, dust and polishing of furniture.
- Have knowledge of and follow procedures for proper handling of bodily fluids.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the facility.
- Clean designated areas with proper chemicals, tools, and equipment.
- Check under furniture for debris; reposition furniture to correct floor plan.
- Take daily inventory and inspect the condition of all furniture for tears, rips, and stains and report damages to supervisor.
- Clean all facility bathrooms to include offices, kitchen and community areas.
- Replace facial and toilet tissues, paper hand towels, and soap dispensers as needed.
- Empty all trash cans located inside and outside of the facility.
- Notify supervisor regarding any damages or anything outside of normal appearance.
- Communicate daily with supervisor
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or training in Housekeeping
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to understand and follow process and controls; and able to read and understand label instructions
- Knowledge of handling cleaning products
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
