**Methodist Services is looking for lifeguards for its fun and enriching summer camp program located on its beautiful campus in West Philadelphia. Do you have lifeguarding experience, and will you have current certifications through 8/2024? Do you enjoy working with children and youth? If yes, we may have a lifeguard position for you**

**Methodist Services provides life-enriching services to children, adults and families as they face the challenges of limited resources, increased poverty and homelessness, disability, inequities in education and behavioral health services. Quality services provided include housing, childcare, education programs, permanence in families, mental health services and nutrition programs.**

**Lifeguard Position**

**Status** : Seasonal Lifeguard position (June 2024 - August 2024); Monday - Friday; 8:30 - 4:30/10:00-6:00 (needs of the program will dictate)

**Primary Functions**: Ensure the safety of children enrolled in summer camp in and around the pool. Assist with aquatic programs and pool operation through implementation of special program activities. Monitor and manage children’s behavior at the pool.

**Lifeguard Qualifications**

**Education**: Minimum High School Diploma plus experience life guarding

**Certifications**: Current Water Safety Instructor/Life guarding Certificate and First Aid certificate. Must be certified in CPR for the Professional Rescuer through 8/2024

**Experience**: lifeguarding experience required

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

**Education**:

- High school or equivalent (required)

**Experience**:

- Lifeguard: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required through 8/2024) (required)
- CPR for the Professional Rescuer cert (req'd through 8/2024) (required)
- Lifeguard certification (required through 8/2024) (required)
