**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, and exercising
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels and common areas
- Monitor animals for any signs of illness or distress and report to management
- Assist with bathing, grooming, and administering medications as directed
- Interact with pet owners, providing excellent customer service and answering inquiries
- Handle heavy lifting tasks as needed

**Experience**:
The following skills and experience are preferred for the Kennel Assistant position:

- Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant, Kennel Attendant, or in a related role
- Knowledge of animal care practices and basic veterinary procedures
- Comfortable with dog handling and pet grooming tasks
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with animal care
- Experience in a veterinary clinic or animal shelter is a plus
