Director of Finance

**Position Summary**:Directs and evaluates the performance of all accounting operations by supervising finance staff, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and overseeing timely preparation of a variety of financial accounts, procedures, and reports. Assesses and forecasts department performance and generates reports for management review. Ensures department performs in compliance with relevant accounting regulations and standards. Coordinates with other department leaders and external stakeholders to guide and facilitate accounting procedures. May act in the absence of Chief Financial Officer.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field of study. Master’s preferred.
- 8 years of previous accounting experience with responsibility for preparation and coordination of budgetary processes required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
- Previous experience in a governmental healthcare setting preferred.
- Demonstrates ability to relate to diverse cultures and specifically the Gila River Community and/or other Native American cultures and community health services.
