The payroll team is responsible for managing all aspects of payroll administration and compliance. The Payroll Analyst performs complex tasks involving coordination between Human Resources, Accounting Services, Information Technology and Operating Departments to ensure the timely and accurate processing of PCH payroll, including maintaining related records, filing tax reports and voluntary deduction reports, processing involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments, documenting and updating procedures, and preparing special reports for management.

**Position Duties**:

- Actively participates in the processing of ongoing payroll activities to ensure timely and accurate administration of pay to all employees including the oversight of Kronos.
- oPerforms complex pay and payroll deduction calculations involving detailed knowledge of the organizations pay practices and policies. Coordinates with Human Resources, Accounting, Information Technology, and operating departments.
- oMaintains strict checks and balances with regard to payroll data.
- Administers and coordinates child support, garnishments, and levies.
- oWorking knowledge of federal and state garnishment laws and their impact on the payroll process; multiple order priority; handling out-of-state orders; calculating and entering the amounts to be withheld from employee pay, and corresponding with employees and applicable agencies.
- Performs timely and accurate administration of payroll taxes.
- oProcesses tax withholding payments, all applicable Federal and State tax returns, W-2 wage and tax statements.
- oAssists in tax balancing.
- oEnsures wage and payroll tax compliance.
- oInteracts with Federal, State and Local tax authorities.
- Assists in the analysis of Kronos timekeeping data.
- oAnalyzes timecard accuracy by auditing Kronos data to ensure wage and hour law compliance.
- oAudits Kronos time records for PCH policy compliance
- oReviews payroll edits and makes on-line corrections as necessary.
- Follows established payroll policies and procedures.
- oAssists in evaluation and monitoring of current/new pay practices to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and company policies.
- oMaintains and updates forms as required by changes to Federal, State, Local and/or company policies.
- oAssists in the development of training materials and supporting process documentation.
- Accounting and treasury support
- oAssists with reconciling general ledger accounts by providing supporting documentation and resolving reconciling items with the accounting staff
- oPrepares stop payment requests and follows procedures resulting from direct deposit rejects or lost/stolen paychecks.
- Administers and coordinates 401(k) and benefit retirement plans
- oRoutinely processes of contribution files
- oRoutinely monitors compliance with plan document
- oParticipates with annual plan audit
- Provide payroll audit support to internal and external parties.
- oPrepares and distributes payroll related reports.
- oProvides business insight regarding payroll data to internal business partners.
- oAssists in creation and development of effective auditing procedures to ensure paycheck accuracy.
- Researches and effectively communicates, both verbally and in writing, with employees, departments and outside agencies on a regular basis.
- Assists in special projects and testing.
- Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
