**JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS**
**Job Summary**:
To assist the Operating Room and Anesthesia staff in the delivery of patient care by assisting with room turnovers, stocking supplies, and gathering equipment for patients who are receiving anesthetic. The specialist will prepare and clean anesthetic machines and equipment, set up room equipment prior to surgical procedures, assist the anesthesiologist, CRNA, or circulating nurse during surgery. Keeps supply levels consistent in the operating rooms.
**Education**:
Position requires a high school diploma.
**Registration/Certification/Licensure**:
Certified in CPR
**Experience**:
Position requires 0-6 months of related experience.
**Other Requirements**:
Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
-Is knowledgeable and practices Infecton Control policies and Aseptic Technique.
-Is knowledgeable of all equipment and supplies used in anesthetic administration.
-Is knowledgeable of and able to carry out processes for cleaning and decontaminating equipment used in anesthetic care of patients.
-Must be able to prioritize responsibilities and duties, organized, able to problem solve and perform duties in a timely manner. Must be able to function effectively in stressful situations, communicating with tact, poise and pleasant demeanor among a diverse population. Must maintain a confidential manner practicing discretion, protecting patient and department confidentiality.
-The ability to read and interpret both written and verbal instructions required; strong attention to detail is a must.
-Must be able to effectively communicate with various team members and customers.

Schedule: Float Pool, Varied Shifts, Monday - Friday
