The Principal Solid Waste Planner will report to the Solid Waste West (SWW) operating unit. This is a part-time, temporary/as needed role. The pay range for this position is $125-$200 an hour, based on qualifications and experience.

**Your Role**:

- Prepare conceptual designs of material recovery facilities and transfer stations
- Develop and review waste and recycling collection and disposal policies, logistics and economics for developing nations
- Prepare operational reviews

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 25 years’ experience in solid waste management industry services such as strategic planning; technical and operational analysis; and planning, siting, permitting and environmental compliance for solid waste facilities
- Strong management skills
- Ability to effectively work as part of a multidiscipline team
- Ability to effectively prepare proposals, communicate with clients, and maintain strong client relations for new and long-term clients
- Strong MS Office skills (Word, Project Schedule, Excel)
- Professional oral and written communication
- Fluent in Spanish is a plus (spoken and written)
