We are looking for a full time Dental assistant that is friendly and can provide the best customer service skills to our patients. We are a private office who is excited to have a new team player on board with us. Our office works with OpenDental software, experience preferred but not required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take dental x-rays
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform dental charting and update patient records in the electronic health record system (OpenDental)
- Assist with dental laboratory procedures, including pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and taking impressions
- Perform medical coding for dental procedures
- Provide support to the front office staff as needed

Qualifications:

- Dental Assistant certification or relevant experience
- Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for creating dental prosthetics is a plus
- Proficiency in dental documentation and maintaining accurate dental records
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with patients of all ages
- Ability to assess patient needs and provide appropriate care under the supervision of the dentist.
