Mill Maintenance Technician- 3rd Shift

**What your day looks like**:
The ideal Feed Mill Maintenance Technician has a working knowledge of and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance and repairs of machinery and mechanical production equipment, and any other specific items related to the mechanical operation of the production facility. To accomplish this, they will need to follow quality, environmental and safety policies, and procedures as they troubleshoot production equipment throughout the facilities. In addition, they will play a key role in operations as they perform adjustments and assist line operators with solving problems on different machines to improve the quality and efficiency of the lines during production runs and changeovers. Evaluates, repairs, and ensures precise equipment maintenance records are maintained. This individual works under the direction of the Mill Supervisor and in coordination with the Mill Maintenance Regional Supervisor.
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine service on all mill equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment problems.
- Maintain accurate records of inventories and completed maintenance.
- Communicate and work effectively with all team members.
- Follow all safety rules and guidelines.
- Function as the "on call" maintenance for the mill.
- Perform general clean up as needed and keep tools organized.
- Travel to other mills when needed for preventive maintenance.
- Understand, utilize, and navigate the Wenger System.
- Ensure adherence to Wenger policies, methods, and disciplines.

**Who you are**:

- Minimum High School Diploma or GED
- General mechanical background.
- General mechanical background
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Ability to climb ladders and work in high places
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (maximum 80 pounds)
- Ability to work in dusty conditions
- Intermediate computer skills
- Intermediate electrical skills
- Intermediate plumbing skills
- Intermediate pneumatic skills
- Intermediate welding/torching/millwright skills
- Intermediate conveyor/bucket elevator skills
- Intermediate mixer/grinder/pellet mill/extruder skills
- Intermediate liquid/flow meter skills
- Intermediate cooling/drying skills
- Intermediate automation understanding
- Intermediate knowledge of steam systems and boilers
- Valid PA driver's license and can drive company vehicle, per policy
- Other duties as assigned.
