**Job description**:
The Repair Process Technician supports the maintenance and calibration of tools and test benches, manages the review and implementation of maintenance documentation, aids in the development of new repair capabilities in repair stations, and drives continuous improvements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Support the Qualification, Maintenance, and Calibration of Tools & Test Benches
- Support the identification, review, and release for service of all new specific means necessary to repair equipment.
- Perform tests with the Golden Unit, including initial calibration and correlation with technical specifications.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of specific tools and test benches.
- Inspect the calibration of all calibrated tools with external vendors.
- Conduct training for technicians in coordination with the OEM for new test benches, specific tools, and/or specific repair processes.
- Research and justify tooling equivalence as necessary.
- Support the review and implementation of maintenance documentation
- Review draft or new releases of maintenance documentation (CMM, SB, SiL, FP, etc.) to list all technical changes, including new means to purchase for the workshop, new repair processes requiring training, and new piece parts to purchase for modifications.
- Update the documentation in the workshop after the review and procurement of means, and inform the workshop about updates and new repair processes, performing briefings as necessary.
- Collect documentation discrepancies in maintenance documentation and inform the Tech PUB department. Follow up as necessary until the appropriate corrective action is completed.
- Support the industrialization developments for new repair capabilities in repair stations
- Support the local industrialization developments, through the review of the maintenance documentation, record and approval of the new specific means to set up in the workshop
- Specific Tools, Processes Harmonization:

- Review and release mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic drawings to design new specific tools in accordance with OEM specifications to improve ergonomics and/or reduce the time required for certain repair processes.
- Define and write new repair documents, in coordination with the OEM, to improve the reliability of specific repair processes.
- Implement all approved procedures concerning the management of tools, documentation review, and repair instructions.

a) Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documentation, specifications, datasheets, technical drawings, and blueprints.
- Ability to write technical specifications, technical descriptions, and instructions.
- Ability to use Adobe and MS Office products such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability operate with great autonomy and little day-to-day oversight.

b) Education and/or Experience
- Diploma in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
- 5-10 year experience in Part 145 / MRO workshop highly recommended, repairing aeronautical equipment and/or related test means.

c) Communication Skills
- At ease communicating in English with personnel at all levels of management
- Ability to respond to common technical inquiries or complaints from workshop personnel, Safran staff, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to effectively report and present information to management.

c) Physical Demands
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Incumbent in this position must occasionally squat, crawl, climb, crouch, kneel, balance and push/pull and may be required to reach above shoulder level, must frequently bend/stoop. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Average visual acuity is required; must be able to use video display terminal, and color acuity is required. This job requires better than average manual dexterity; while performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. Must be able to operate moving devises/tools and operate vehicles.
