GGS is seeking dynamic and experienced Federal EEO Investigators to conduct investigations for various federal agencies. Agencies are responsible for ensuring that discrimination complaints are processed fairly, promptly, thoroughly, and in strict compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) regulations. Organizations are responsible for ensuring that employees have equal employment opportunities and a safe workplace free from harassment and discrimination.

**Requirements**:

- Private home office space with a computer (desktop or laptop), phone (landline or mobile), internet, printer, and scanner
- Advanced to expert ability to utilize Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel, and OneDrive) and Adobe Acrobat (i.e., combining multiple documents/PDFs into one PDF, bookmarking PDFs, performing an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) scan on all PDFs, rotating PDF pages, exhibit page numbering, exhibit bates numbering, electronically redacting personally-identifying information (PII) from PDFs and password protecting PDFs)
- Certified EEO Investigator and maintain status with annual refresher
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Must be self-motivated and able to work with mínimal to no supervision
- Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
- Knowledge of Title VII and related laws, rules, and regulations Technical knowledge of EEOC MD-110 and 29 CFR 1614

**Education requirements**:

- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and three years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in one or more of the following fields: equal employment opportunity, human rights, community relations, law, social services, investigation, human resources, or public relations; or
- A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and seven years of full-time satisfactory professional experience as described above; or
- Minimum 3 years investigative experience

**Required Certifications**:

- 32-Hour EEO Investigator Certificate
- 8-Hour EEO Refresher Certificate for most current year (if applicable)

**SECURITY**

**Desired (but not required)**
- Experience performing final agency decisions (FADs)
- Experience facilitating EEO training
- Certified and experienced EEO counselor
- Certified and Experienced in Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)

**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Prepare Investigative Plans and document requests
- Acquire and analyze documentary and testimonial evidence
- Conduct telephonic interviews or prepare affidavits
- Prepare detailed, grammatically correct reports of investigation and case files
- Submit weekly status reports
- Prepare and assemble Reports of Investigation (ROI) (including but not limited to creating computer-generated exhibit tabs)
- Assist with processing informal EEO complaints, formal EEO complaints, anti-harassment complaints,
- Explain the discrimination complaint process for an EEO complaint.
- Advise the complainant of their rights and responsibilities in the complaint process.
- Research applicable EEO case law, precedents, reports of investigation, and EEOC decisions
- Gather documents and relevant information for EEO case files
- Prepare case files for administrative reviews/judicial proceedings
- Identify/interview witnesses of an alleged EEO violation
- Excellent interviewing skills, with the ability to calm and focus interviewees to obtain information regarding the question at hand
- Fast and accurate typing and note-taking skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, punctual, and thorough
- Able to successfully keep track of multiple simultaneous investigations and deadlines
- Ability to follow templates, processes, and guides
- Ability to set up and conduct telephone conference calls
- Excellent listening skills
- Must have excellent attention to detail and provide draft and final work products free from grammatical and typographical errors. All documents prepared by the EEO Investigator (including I.P.s, written interrogatories presented to witnesses, and ROIs) must be proofread for clarity and completeness before issuance. In addition, all materials must be organized well (using headings and sub-headings as needed) and written in plain language to aid ease of understanding for the reader.
