**Human Resources Generalist**

**Recruitment and Selection**
- Reviews resumes and evaluates applicant qualifications in accordance with established guidelines and regulations.
- Coordinates interviews with hiring managers and assists in the selection process.
- Manages the pre-employment process, including reference checks and background screenings.

**Benefits Administration**
- Serves as the main point of contact for employee benefits inquiries and support.
- Administers and explains benefits packages to employees, ensuring they understand their options and coverage.
- Coordinates open enrollment periods and assists employees with benefit elections and changes.
- Develops and maintains the employee handbook, outlining company policies and procedures related to benefits administration.

**Employee Relations Management**
- Assists in planning and implementing programs to foster positive employee relations.
- Organizes employee events and recognition programs to promote engagement and morale.
- Monitors employee performance appraisals and provides guidance on performance management processes.
- Assists in disciplinary actions and conducts exit interviews when employees leave the organization.
- Manages employee separations and ensures all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.

**Training and Professional Development**
- Designs and delivers orientation programs for new hires to introduce them to company policies, culture, and expectations.
- Collaborates with department heads to develop and implement training programs to address skill gaps and enhance employee performance.
- Facilitates training sessions and workshops to improve employee skills and knowledge.
- Tracks employee training progress and maintains training records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

**Risk Management**
- Ensures compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Identifies and addresses potential HR-related risks and liabilities.
- Manages the incident reporting process and follows up on any incidents or claims.

**Compliance and Reporting**
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records and files.
- Prepares and submits required HR reports and documentation.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

**Outreach and Relationship Management**
- Represents the company at recruitment events, job fairs, and industry conferences.
- Builds and maintains relationships with external partners, such as staffing agencies and educational institutions.
- Develops marketing materials and recruitment campaigns to attract top talent.

**Additional Duties**
- Communicates relevant information to management and team members as needed.
- Reviews invoices and manages budgetary expenses related to HR activities.
- Completes required trainings and professional development activities.

**Position Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in HR management or recruitment.
- SHRM-CP certification or similar credentials preferred.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to Relocate:

- Suitland, MD 20746: Relocate before starting work (required)
