Spirit Rhode Island's facility is focused on têxtile engineering and manufacturing of 2D woven fabrics, 3D woven preforms, braided materials and resin transfer molded composites. We work with the stiffest, strongest, and lightest fiber in the world including carbon, glass, aramid (kevlar) and ceramic.

Our products are being used on ground-breaking space initiatives such as NASA's Mars Sample Return mission, important missile programs, airfoils in commercial and military jet engines, and as lightweight armor for US military ground vehicles.

**Your role**:Spirit Rhode Island **is seeking an independent and self-motivating **IT Security Technician** to join our IT department. This position is responsible for maintaining, installing, and configuring desktops, workstations, and thin-clients in a manufacturing environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain, install, and configure desktops and workstations
- Image and deploy Windows-based workstations
- Create and maintain equipment inventory database of all workstations
- Ensure ongoing compliance with ITAR and government security standards
- End-user support for production and front-office employees across multiple buildings in a campus environment
- Utilize administrative tools such as Active Directory, Windows Deployment Services, VMWare and various other tools
- Work closely with other members of the IT department to handle requests, incidents, and project related tasks
- Responsible for on-going maintenance of company's desktop environment
- Collaborate with existing vendors to support and perform upgrades on company software
- Troubleshoot and resolve both hardware and software issues regarding network connectivity
- Maintain IT tickets and update projects

**What we need from you**:

- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 1-3 years relevant experience in an IT support environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Understanding of general security best practices
- Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP protocol and network troubleshooting skills
