**Position Summary**:
The Data Analyst for Community Impact and Equity (CIE) designs and develops methods and systems to consolidate and analyze a range of data sets to generate insights and solutions in support the Research and Data Analytics Team at United Way of Rhode Island (UWRI). The Data Analyst uses quantitative and qualitative methods and strategies to analyze data and generate useful written reports and visualizations that are used to draw insights into primary and secondary data sources. Identifies and communicates any data related issues/recommendations to the team, so they can quickly develop a resolution. Work with management to prioritize data and information needs.

For this role, the Data Analyst will provide data analytic and evaluation support for the UWRI Providence Equity Fund scope of work.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct literature reviews related to UWRI PVD Equity Fund content and equity lens analysis
- Obtain and analyze data to support the data monitoring and evaluation of the UWRI PVD Equity Fund grantee portfolio
- Support the data collection and analysis aspects of UWRI PVD Equity Fund grantmaking and management of initiatives
- Consult with team members to prioritize key data sources, conduct analysis, identify key data elements and reports
- Produce written and visual data reports on UWRI PVD Equity Fund activities for both internal (senior leadership, CIE staff, development staff, and marking communications) as well as external audiences (UWRI Board, corporate partners, affinity groups, etc.)
- Design, develop program methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse data sources to generate actionable insights
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in data sets and communicate insights and findings from analysis.
- Create and propose interesting ways of sharing data that tell stories, clearly illustrate outcomes, and help internal and external audiences understand the implications
- Conduct special research projects and present findings as needed
- Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
- Design and develop solutions to make it easier to explore data, uncover new insights and take action
