**Job Description Summary**
Under the general direction of the Manager Perioperative Supply Chain and within established hospital and department guidelines, the Operations Supervisor, Perioperative Materials performs a broad range of activities associated with the support, development, implementation and deliverance of materials management services. Leads, coordinates and supports projects. Provides procurement coordination, product analysis, and expense reduction support. Identifies and supports the implementation of process improvements; identifies and supports opportunities to expand existing services and recommends new ones. Provides operational support to SSH Materials Management team through information gathering and analysis, operational coordination and problem solving. Actively supports the delivery of high quality customer service. Develops implements and supports effective quality and productivity measurement. Supports procedural mastery training and employee programs designed to enhance staff performance and skill. Actively seeks out and works with customers to understand their needs related to Supply Chain Management. Works with customers and department staff to implement measurable improvement to services to increase customer satisfaction and cost effectiveness. Works with leadership of hospital departments, administration, clinicians, and suppliers. Responsible for overseeing staff and activities for the day-to-day operations for the department under the direction of the Manager of Perioperative Supply Chain. Maintains operations at an acceptable level of efficiency, and the performance of up-to and sometimes exceeding 10 employees. Reports problems, issues, and recommends solutions to the Inventory and Materials Services Managers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that comprise the means of accomplishing the job's purpose and objectives. Essential functions are critical or fundamental to the performance of the job. They are the major functions that the person in the job is held accountable for. Following are the essential functions of the job.

1. Coordinates the daily replenishment of assigned Par Locations.
Creates and manages staff work schedules. Escalates challenges and concerns to the Manager.
2. Responsible for all Par & storage locations assigned.
A. Maintains the accuracy of par locations using Workday.
B. Ensures proper labeling & organization of physical par locations.
3. Works to expand the quality and scope of services provided and the customer base served by Supply Chain Management. Expansion to include: Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, Birthing Unit and 2 Pond Park.
4. Analyzes operational and systems information to point up improvements in service quality and efficiency and makes recommendations based on analyses. Works with Supply Chain Management staff and customers to identify and implement opportunities to streamline operations and increase efficiency while lowering costs.
5. Lead efforts to convert new clinical areas into the Perioperative Supply Chain. Develop Workday par locations and coordinate daily replenishment.
6. Assists in efficient utilization of staff resources by conducting staffing and operational analyses; assists in determining staff development gaps and opportunities through needs analyses and recommendations. Evaluates impact of cross-functional training initiatives.
7. Works with Supply Chain Management leadership to ensure quality operations by contributing to the development of policies, procedures, training, productivity and quality measurements and strategic planning. Works to ensure premium supplier relationships through the development and implementation of quality programs.
8. Develops and executes a Back Order management program for assigned par locations.
9. Performs computer related activities to manage the acquisition, receipt and distribution of inventory materials.
10. Works closely with clinical colleagues to forecast supply needs and communicates specialty or high priority needs team and manager.
11. Utilizes EPIC and Workday to assist in inventory management.
12. Participates in the daily meetings with Nursing Leadership to communicate Supply Chain issues.
13. Participates in Value Analysis Committees to provide Supply Chain insight and to execute change.
14. Maintains standards set by SSH and the Joint Commission. Ensures appropriate product rotation and review of out of date items.
15. Leads the year-end physical inventory count. Provides accurate count sheets to Finance.
