Providing behavioral health services is at the core of CHS’ work. We provide outpatient mental health and substance use treatment services at school sites and family resource centers throughout Stanislaus County. We also operate a Community Counseling Clinic, located at 2000 West Briggsmore Ave in Modesto. Clinic services include individual, couples, family and group counseling, funded through private pay and managed care insurance plans. Our clinic also operates a Practicum Training Program for Pre-Master’s level students, where we provide quality clinical supervision and support as students gain valuable clinical experience.

**Position Summary**: Under the direction of the Clinic Manager,** **provides leadership and management support for Clinic day-to-day operations. Coordinates all aspects of the agency’s Practicum Training Program for Pre-Master’s Students. Reviews clinical documentation for approval. (If Full-Time, also provides direct counseling services, carrying a small caseload of clients.)

**DUTIES**:

- Works with Clinic Manager to operate agency’s outpatient counseling clinic activities, including but not limited to the oversight of agency’s Practicum Training Program for Pre-Master’s Level students.
- Develops and maintains close working relationships with universities in support of Practicum Student placement and requirements.
- Interviews, hires, trains, supervises and evaluates practicum students placed in the clinic.
- Assigns clients and assists with managing the Community Counseling waitlist.
- Reviews clinical documentation per insurance billing requirements.
- Acts as administrative point person for agency’s clinical supervisors to share information and troubleshoot as needed.
- Participates as a member of the agency’s behavioral health leadership team and supports overarching department goals, objectives and contract requirements.
- Participates in internal and external program and team meetings as assigned by Manager. Collaborates with community agencies regarding program services.
- Collect and review data for performance and evaluation purposes
- Compiles statistics required by agency, contracts and grants.
- Assist in preparation of written reports and data summaries.
- Develop program related training's and materials.
- Maintain records and complete all necessary paperwork.
- If working full-time, maintain a caseload of clients and complete associated charting and billing requirements.
- Perform assigned duties with a positive attitude and in the spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Completed Master’s degree in Counseling/ Psychology or Social Work.
- Has license through California BBS or in progress.
- One to three years of supervision/management experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to think creatively and organize workflow.
- Ability to establish priorities and timelines and to meet them.
- Experience and ability to motivate and supervise staff.
- Having a working knowledge of learning styles and awareness of cultural diversity issues.
- Ability to handle crisis situations and decide appropriate course of action.
- Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and positive manner.
- Working knowledge of community resources.
- Ability to work with a variety of people and situations.
- Pass agency paid criminal justice screening.
- Pass agency paid TB (Tuberculosis) screening.
- Pass agency paid health screening and/or drug testing, if required.
- Valid CA driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
- Pass agency paid MVR clearance with no more than 2 points - if you are under the age of 25 our insurance will not allow **_any_** points.
