**Job Summary**: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in dialysis to join our team for a 13-week travel contract in Hazel Crest, IL. The RN Dialysis will provide specialized care for patients undergoing dialysis treatments, ensuring the highest quality of patient care and safety.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis treatments for patients with renal failure.
- Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocols.
- Monitor patient responses to dialysis treatments and report any adverse reactions to the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and their families about dialysis procedures, care plans, and ongoing health maintenance.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nephrologists, dietitians, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Operate and maintain dialysis equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
- Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and staff meetings as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Current and unrestricted RN license in Illinois.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent dialysis nursing experience.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Proficiency in operating dialysis machines and related equipment.
- Strong critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, EPIC experience preferred.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift and move patients as necessary.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Manual dexterity to operate dialysis equipment.

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
