The On-Call RN serves as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) providing patient care consistent with the Plan of Care (POC).
The On-Call Registered Nurse will be regularly scheduled and is responsible for responding to calls in Washington County, MD and Franklin County, PA, providing emergency care to patients and families, communicating with attending physicians, HWC staff members, and other agencies as necessary to coordinate optimal care and use of resources for patients/caregivers and educating patients/caregivers regarding hospice disease progression, physical components of care, stages of dying, and other aspects of the POC as necessary.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Maryland, PA or hold a compact state license
- Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse and/or BSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a RN preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance and reliable car
**HOURS**
- Flexible to work Days and/or Nights weekends, 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $37.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 - 24 per week
