**Essential Job Functions for Yard Worker**

Southwest’s largest landscape rock mining company with 13 quarries throughout Arizona and Nevada is looking for Yard Personnel at our Mesa location.

**Operational Duties**:

- Operate small equipment like loaders or skid steers for moving rocks and materials around the yard.
- Safely tow or pull trailers behind pickup trucks to transport rocks or supplies.
- Manage a work truck, ensuring it's clean, fueled, and ready for daily tasks.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance, including monitoring tire wear and performing routine checks on oil levels and air filters.

**Qualifications and Personal Qualities**:

- Demonstrate dependability and punctuality by arriving on time for shifts and completing tasks reliably.
- Maintain honesty, a service-oriented attitude, and treat colleagues and clients with respect.
- Possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with the team and understand customer needs.
- Be organized, keeping the yard and equipment clean to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Valid driver’s license, CDL a plus.
- 3 to 5 years of experience operating and maintaining heavy equipment.

**Work Schedule**:

- Expect a variable work schedule throughout the week, with different assignments each day. Be prepared to adapt to changing priorities and demands.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

This role offers a blend of operational tasks involving operating machinery and maintaining vehicles, alongside the importance of personal qualities like reliability, communication, and organization. The variable schedule keeps things interesting, with new challenges each day.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
