To collaborate with the appropriate stakeholders to maintain high quality of services.Organize and administer the overall program of extra-curricular athletics, both intramural and interscholastic, for the DistrictAssume responsibility for the organization and scheduling of all interscholastic athletic events Hire officials and supervisory personnel as required, and assume general responsibility for the proper supervision of home gamesAssumes responsibility for leadership in the selection, assignment, mentoring, and evaluation of athletic coaches and staff membersDevelop and place into operation appropriate rules and regulations governing the conduct of athletic activitiesVerify each athletes eligibility according to established physical and academic requirements of eligibility for participation in each sportArrange transportation for athletic contest participantsPrepare and administer the athletic program budgetRequisition program supplies and equipment within purchasing policy guidelines and maintain an up-to-date inventoryConduct coaches meetings to discuss and deal with matters related to the school systems athletic program and policiesArrange field and gym practice schedulesSupervise all ticket sales of the athletic program, and assume responsibility for proper handling of fundsDirect an in-school, extracurricular program designed to foster support for the athletic teams and school spirit among non-participantsKeep records of the results of all Middle School and High School athletic contests, and maintain a record of all award winners, including the date and type of award, and including athletic scholarshipsPlan and supervise an annual recognition program for school athletesCoordinate the utilization of all athletic and school facilities in conjunction with the appropriate administratorFoster good school-community relations by keeping the community aware of and responsive to the athletic programArrange for the printing and distribution of all athletic schedulesPerform such other duties that may be reasonably requested by the Superintendent of Schools from time-to-time
